RE-OPENING DAY CELEBRATIONS – SILVER HILLS HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL
Silver Hills Higher Secondary School welcomed the new academic year with a vibrant and joy-filled Re-opening Day celebration on Monday, 2 June 2025, at 8.45 am. The programme brought together students, staff, and invited dignitaries to mark a fresh beginning with renewed spirit and enthusiasm.
The event commenced with an engaging segment titled Reboot with Red FM, energizing the atmosphere and setting a cheerful tone for the day. This was followed by an invocation and welcome song by the school choir, and a delightful English song presented by the LP students. The prayer and offering segment created a serene and reflective mood, followed by colourful and graceful dance performances by the students, adding liveliness and cultural vibrance to the occasion.
The welcome address was delivered by Ramesh K, Staff Secretary, who greeted the gathering with warm words. Rev Fr Augustine K Mathew CMI, Manager of Silver Hills Institutions, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of beginning the year with positivity and dedication.
Dr Jose John Mallikassery, former Principal of St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Devagiri, delivered the inaugural address, inspiring students and teachers with his reflections on academic excellence and personal growth. Rev Fr John Mannarathara CMI, Principal of Silver Hills HSS, addressed the audience with a vision for the year ahead, stressing values, discipline, and collective responsibility.
Abhilash I P, PTA President, extended his greetings and felicitations. Zoya P P delivered a student speech that captured the excitement and hope of returning to school. Faculty member Lakshmi P G provided general instructions. The vote of thanks was proposed by Reena K, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the programme.
The ceremony concluded with her the National Anthem, reaffirming unity and dedication to the nation. The Re-opening Day programme was a fitting start to the academic year, leaving all present with a renewed sense of purpose and motivation.
